MEET THE TEAM WHO CO-ORDINATE OUR RESPONSE LOGISTICS
Years of experience, responding and co-ordinating
Chairman and Responder
I have had the privilege of being the chairman of 4x4 RNE for a number of years now, before that I was a responder and later a coordinator. Being a volunteer has been incredibly rewarding in both the satisfaction of helping the people of the North East of England and the enjoyment of volunteering alongside, and socialising with, some wonderful people.
Vice Chairman and Responder
I joined the volunteers at 4x4RNE in 2009 and since then have been an active member using a number of different vehicles I’ve owned in that time. I was asked if I’d stand for one of the officer roles which I duly did. The membership then voted me in as Vice Chair to work alongside our Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.
Being a member of the response is rewarding for me been able help people and to give something back to the local community and further afield when requested by other neighbouring groups.
As Secretary, I am responsible for ensuring meetings are organised and minuted and I keep official records for the organisation. I also arrange the events with the assistance of others.
4×4 RNE means a lot to me. I believe in them and the amazing work they do. I am proud to call myself a member.
I am one of the founding members of 4x4 Response North East and I have a busy role as treasurer, senior coordinator, membership secretary and fundraiser and love to help the local community that we serve. When a request for help is received from the NHS, out of hours Doctors or Emergency services I am the main coordinator for the team ensuring that we aim to help everyone possible while bringing our teams home safely. I love being a volunteer for 4x4RNE, we have a great team who provide a great service.
